A about the creator
Hi, I’m Adrian Upchurch.
I’m fortunate to have two amazing godsons, one of whom is non-verbal and on the autism spectrum. Spending time with him—watching how he interacts with the world, seeing what makes him happy, and how much joy he brings to those around him—has been a true gift. But we still face a communication gap, and I worry about him keeping pace with his peers.
That’s what inspired me to start building a game—not just for fun, but as a tool to help reinforce what he’s already learned and maybe introduce new concepts along the way. I’m designing these mini-games with careful attention to the things he stims on, the environments he responds to, and most importantly, the need for better communication tools.
One of the first things I created is what I call the "Quick Board"—a simple interface with key words and phrases to help non-verbal individuals communicate. Recently, I introduced a new, fully customizable "Custom Board," where users can choose their own words or phrases and even upload their own MP3 audio clips.
I want to invite the broader autism and neurodivergent community to be part of this journey—sharing ideas, feedback, voice recordings, or artwork—whatever you can contribute.
I’m more than willing to put in the work, but I’d appreciate your help spreading the word and driving ideas so together we can create something truly meaningful for children who learn differently.
